top  004   What is a Curriculum Vitae or résumé?

  • A curriculum vitae
[Latin for the course or race of life; plural=curricula vitae],
or CV for short, is a professional statement or résumé of whom you are.

  • A curriculum vitae should be updated at least TWICE per year or whenever any significant change is registered in your professional life.

  • As your CV can only be sent to InfoMarex an eMail attachment,
your CV should NEVER be bigger than 200KB in size.
Nor more than 3 pages long. Long CVs are not read.

top  005  Do I really need a CV?

  • Yes. A well presented CV is absolutely necessary for a translator.
You will frequently have to send it to a new client.

  • It is a professional statement of how you see yourself and of whom you are.
So make sure it looks professional.

top  006   Does InfoMarex send the CV of a translator to a client?

  • Never. Your CV in our archive is to show InfoMarex your professional status, your qualifications and experience.

  • InfoMarex's clients do not ask for the CV of a translator and rely on InfoMarex's professional judgement that the translator, to whom we have assigned a project, is the best one available.

top   007   Where do I send my CV?

  • Once you have added your data to the InfoMarex database, you will be requested to send it to CVs-Resumes@infomarex.com attaching it as a MS Word (.doc or .rtf) or Adobe .pdf document.
